Churchland Preschool Center consists of a team of professional early childhood educators dedicated to developing minds, nurturing bodies, and encouraging dreams in our young children, so that they may become successful, lifelong learners and leaders.

Administrator’s Philosophy

In Guiding Student Behavior

 

Student behavior is a school-wide, home and community initiative that focuses on the importance of relational discipline. These policies and practices set the tone for a strong support system. All relationships that make a child want to learn are fostered through positive discipline and our interactions. It is my belief that teacher-student relationships are an integral part of an effective classroom management system. Clearly, parents, as the primary disciplinarian influence, are predictors of a child’s appropriate or inappropriate behavior. Therefore, a collaborative discipline model which promotes on going parent-teacher communication, builds positive attitudes, facilitates learning, and minimizes disruptions is most successful.
