Administrator’s Philosophy

In Guiding Student Behavior

Student behavior is a school-wide, home and community initiative that focuses on the importance of relational discipline. These policies and practices set the tone for a strong support system. All relationships that make a child want to learn are fostered through positive discipline and our interactions. It is my belief that teacher-student relationships are an integral part of an effective classroom management system. Clearly, parents, as the primary disciplinarian influence, are predictors of a child’s appropriate or inappropriate behavior. Therefore, a collaborative discipline model which promotes on-going parent-teacher communication, builds positive attitudes, facilitates learning, and minimizes disruptions is most successful.
